The UAB Health System (UABHS) presented its 2009 Clinical Excellence in Nursing Awards on May 7 as part of National Nurses Week celebration.
The Clinical Excellence in Nursing Awards are presented to professional nurses and nursing support staff who demonstrate nursing knowledge, technical skills, and clinical leadership within the UABHS.
UAB Hospital Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Velinda Block, MSN, and UAB School of Nursing Dean Doreen Harper, PhD, presented the awards. UAB Hospital and UAB Highlands CEO Michael Waldrum, MD, addressed the honorees.
