UAB Professor and Witten-Stanley Endowed Chair of the Department of Radiology Robert E. Koehler, MD, announces the appointment of Yung So Kim, MD, as assistant professor.
Dr. Kim graduated from Kyungpook National University School of Medicine in Korea. Following a radiology residency at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland, and a diagnostic radiology residency at Methodist Hospital of Indiana in Indianapolis, Dr. Kim was a fellow and instructor in neuroradiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center Strong Memorial Hospital in New York. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology with a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology.
Prior to joining UAB, Dr. Kim was on staff at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin, for 21 years, and most recently was assistant professor of diagnostic radiology at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
