Denson Joins Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. DensonJohn C. Hauth, MD, chair of UAB’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, announces the appointment of Dee R. Denson, MD, as assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology.

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Dr. Denson completed his medical studies at UAB School of Medicine. His postdoctoral training includes an internship in general surgery, and an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, all completed at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, Birmingham, where he also served as chief resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

His clinical interests center on benign gynecology including surgical treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and pelvic relaxation. He has surgical experience with treatment for female urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse using graft material.
