Brian Patrick Gleason, M.D.
Dr. Gleason was born in Chicago, attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed his OB/GYN residency at the Mayo Clinic. He then served on the OB/GYN faculty at the University of Tennessee before returning to UAB, where he joined the faculty in 1989. In his free time, Dr. Gleason enjoys basketball and reading. He has three sons and one daughter with his wife of 20 years. |

Kimberly Hoover, M.D.
Dr. Hoover was born in Baton Rouge and grew up in Louisiana. She earned an undergraduate degree at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, and attended medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. She completed her residency through the University of Florida at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Before moving to Birmingham she was a faculty member at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for three years. Outside of work, Dr. Hoover enjoys spending time with her husband and son attending LSU football games in the Fall.

Laura Lee Joiner, M.D.
Dr. Joiner was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia through the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Army. She completed her residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Service Health Education Consortium in 2004. She attained the rank of Major in the US Army and has served with the 31st Combat Support Hospital in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad. In her spare time, Dr. Joiner enjoys dance and the visual arts and sings soprano in her church choir. She married her high school sweetheart in 1996 and they have one son and two daughters.
