William W. Andrews, M.D.
Dr. Andrews was born and raised in Ozark, Alabama. After earning his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his residency at UAB. Dr. Andrews then completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and joined the faculty at UAB in 1990. Dr. Andrews is currently UAB’s Director of Obstetrics. Outside of work, he enjoys boating and hiking. He has four children.

Joseph Biggio, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Biggio was born and raised in New Orleans. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UAB prior to his fellowships in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics. He joined the faculty at UAB in 2003. Outside of work, Dr. Biggio enjoys reading, listening to music, and cooking. He has two children.

Cynthia G. Brumfield, M.D.
Dr. Brumfield grew up in the community of Tynertown, Mississippi, attended the University of Mississippi Medical School, and completed her residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Brumfield then completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and joined the faculty at UAB in 1984. Dr. Brumfield was appointed UAB Hospital Chief of Staff in 2006. When not at work, some of her favorite activities include swimming, dining out, and attending football games. She has two children.

Richard O. Davis, M.D.
A native of Georgia, Dr. Davis was born in Athens and grew up in the town of Winder. After attending Medical College of Georgia, he completed his residency as well as a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He joined the faculty at UAB in 1977. Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys jogging, reading, and gardening. He has two children.

Alice R. Goepfert, M.D.
Dr. Goepfert was born in Key West, Florida and grew up in Selma, Alabama. After attending Baylor College of Medicine, she completed her residency as well as a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Goepfert joined the faculty at UAB in 1997. As time allows, she enjoys reading, being with friends, and horseback riding. She has two children.

Debora Kimberlin, M.D.
Dr. Kimberlin was born in Nashville and grew up in Austin, Texas. After attending the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, she completed her residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. She then completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She joined the faculty at UAB in 1996. Outside of work, Dr. Kimberlin enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family.

John Owen, M.D.
Dr. Owen was born in Miami and grew up in south Florida. After attending the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, he completed his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he then completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship. He joined the faculty at UAB in 1988. His favorite pastimes include gardening, listening to classical music, and backpacking. He has twin sons.

Patrick Ramsey, M.D.
Dr. Ramsey was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Rhimelander, Wisconsin. After attending the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, he completed his residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He then completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and joined the faculty at UAB in 2001. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, bicycling, hiking, and computers. He has two children.

Dwight Rouse, M.D.
Dr. Rouse was born and raised in Illinois and attended the University of Illinois Medical School. He completed his residency at the University of Iowa and completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He joined the faculty at UAB in 1994. Outside of work, Dr. Rouse enjoys running, swimming, and reading. He has two children.
