Q: How close is UAB to beginning a Clinical Trial in Islet Transplantation?
A: Very close! FDA approval for the trial has already been granted to UAB. Institutional approval to proceed is expected shortly. When this is received, Candidates for the Trial and their Physicians will receive information packets and questionnaires that will begin the screening process. The Trial’s Medical Staff will review this information and select patients for the trial.
Q: How do I or someone I know become a Candidate for consideration as a Trial participant?
