The Seizure Monitoring Unit provides an environment to record, analyze, and treat patient seizures.
For some forms of epilepsy, surgery is the optimal treatment. For this, the center offers one of the major surgery programs in the United States. And through the center, UAB scientists continually research the effects of epilepsy as well as new methods of diagnosis and treatment.
