Trauma, Burns and Surgical Critical Care Center, which functions within the Department of Surgery, has become one of the major treatement centers in the southeast United States for patients suffering traumatic injury. It offers comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation for trauma and burn patients as soon after injury as possible. The center works with referring physicians to determine the best methos of transportation to the center.

Treatment is delivered by a team of board certified surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists and social workers to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the care of these patients.

The Orthopaedic Trauma and Trauma Reconstruction Service provides care for the most difficult trauma cases in orthopaedic surgery, including patients with complex fractures, post-traumatic complications, and bone infections.
