The UAHSF Administration building is located on the UAB campus at
500 22nd Street South (corner of 5th Avenue and 22nd Street South) in the John N. Whitaker Building. It is easily accessible from Birmingham's major highways.
From I-65 north:
Exit onto 8th Avenue South (Exit 259), which is also called University Boulevard. Continue straight for nine blocks, then turn left on Richard Arrington Jr Blvd (21st Street). Turn right on 5th Avenue South. Continue straight for one block. The John Whitaker Building will be on your right.
From I-65 south:
Exit onto 4th Avenue South (Exit 259B). Proceed straight for 10 blocks, then turn right on 22nd Street. Go one block. The John Whitaker Building will be on your right.
From I-20/59 south:
Exit onto I-65 south. Exit I-65 onto 4th Avenue South (Exit 259B). Proceed straight for 10 blocks, then turn right on 22nd Street. Go one block. The John Whitaker Building will be on your right.
From Highway 280 west:
Exit right onto University Boulevard, which is also called 8th Avenue South. Proceed straight for four blocks, then turn right on Richard Arrington Jr Blvd (21st Street). Go three blocks, turning right on 5th Avenue South. Go one block. The John Whitaker Building will be on your right.
From Highway 280 east: Exit right onto University Boulevard, which is also called 8th Avenue South. Proceed straight for five blocks, then turn right on Richard Arrington Jr Blvd (21st Street). Go three blocks, turning right on 5th Avenue South. Go one block. The John Whitaker Building will be on your right.
