Dr. Steven Smith is a native of Hartselle, Alabama and a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He attended Medical School at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, where he completed his internship. He completed his residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center. Dr. Smith’s clinical interests include hospital medicine. Dr. Smith is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys reading, writing novels and poetry, NASCAR events, playing the guitar, writing music, gardening, landscaping, home renovation, the history of science, teaching, hiking, and fishing.
Dr. Smith will be joining Medical West’s physician staff as the Hospitalist.
