To make an appointment, please call UAB HealthFinder at 205-934-9999.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call to cancel as soon as you know.
Referrals
If you need care from a specialist, your insurance may require a referral from your primary care physician.
Please call at least seven days prior to your appointment so that your referral can be approved.
If you go to the emergency room for a medical problem, be sure to call your primary care physician teh next business day to obtain a referral.
Test Results
Unless instructed otherwise by your physician, we will release results of medical tests as soon as they are available. We will call you immediately if your tests show significant abnormal results. If results are normal, we will notify you by telephone or mail (usually within four weeks) or at your next office visit.
Prescription Refills
Prescription refills will be ordered within 24 hours of your call. We suggest calling your pharmacy to see if your medication is ready before going to get it. Please have your pharmacy's number available when you call us.
