Discharge Information

During your discharge procedure, the nurse will give you any required prescription forms and instructions on how to care for yourself at home. You will then be taken by wheelchair to the Discharge Area.

    The Day of Discharge:
  • Please check your room for personal articles.
  • A member of the hospital staff will take you to the business office to settle your bill when you're ready to leave. The Business Office can give you an estimate of your total charges when you leave.
  • Please pick up any valuables left in the Hospital's Business Office.
  • You may be picked up in the discharge area on Seventh Avenue South between 18th and 19th Streets.

About a week after discharge, you'll reveive a bill containing a list of all your charges. This is the only such summary that you will receive. If there is still a balance due, that you must pay yourself, it is due upon receipt of your statement.
